Friends of the Pittsburgh Irish Community, PICT Classic Theatre has opened its production of “Sive”, a play by Ireland’s John B. Keane. “Being sold to an old, decrepit man for two hundred pounds is not every girl’s idea of a fairytale marriage, but for Sive, it’s the only way her family can find some relief from their poverty-stricken existence. Sive tells the old culture story of star-crossed lovers, set against the backdrop of the 50’s in County Kerry, Ireland where the cha…rming thatch-roofed cottage illustrate both the simplicity and the difficulty of everyday life.” PICT is extending a discount to the Irish Community for tickets to this play. Use discount code IRISH30SIVE for a $30 Adult ticket applicable to all performances of Sive. All performances will be held at the Union Project in Highland Park, 801 North Negley Avenue.
