Irish Music Master Class and Pizza Party with Katie Grennan

Join Katie Grennan on Friday May 25, 2018 from 6 – 7 Pm for an Irish music workshop and Pizza party. Fiddler Katie Grennan from Gaelic Storm (Celtic fusion multi-national touring band) hosts a master class for intermediate to advanced musicians. Participants will learn essential techniques for playing traditional Irish music, expand their repertoire, and learn some key elements for playing for Irish dancers in performance or competition. Session will conclude with a Q&A. All participants, families and friends welcome to stay for a free pizza party and open session from 7-9. All instruments welcome – ability to pick up music by ear is advantageous but not necessary. Irish Music Workshops and Concert – February 10, 2018

Katie Grennan, along with Winifred Horan and John Williams will be perfoming next month on Saturday, February 10th at Central Catholic High School. Katie Grennan will be hosting a beginner/intermediate fiddle session, designed for violin or fiddle players that have about 2 years experience. Experienced violinists or fiddle players can register for Winifred Horan’s session – the featured musician of the weekend. She is an incredible fiddle player and best known for her over 20 years with Solas Beginner tin whistle lessons offered (no prior experience necessary!) An intermediate tune learning workshop for any instrument.
